Detox and rehabilitation programs designed for couples. Individual treatment for each partner plus joint couples therapy to strengthen your relationship while achieving sobriety together.
Addiction affects both partners in a relationship. Our couples detox and rehab program allows you to recover together while maintaining your bond. Each partner receives individual treatment while participating in joint couples therapy sessions.
When both partners struggle with addiction, the relationship itself often becomes intertwined with substance use—using together, enabling each other, or cycling through recovery attempts where one partner relapses and pulls the other back in. Traditional treatment separates couples, which can strain relationships and create additional stress during an already difficult time. Our couples detox and rehab program offers a unique alternative: recover together in the same facility, receive individual treatment customized to each person's needs, AND participate in specialized couples therapy that addresses relationship dynamics, communication patterns, and how to build a sober life together. This approach provides mutual support and accountability while ensuring each partner gets the personalized care they need.
Research shows that couples who enter treatment together have higher completion rates and better long-term outcomes than those who enter separately. When addiction develops in a relationship, it creates unhealthy patterns—codependency, enabling, shared triggers, and synchronized relapse cycles. Couples treatment addresses these patterns directly while building new, healthy dynamics that support sobriety for both partners. You're not just learning to stay sober individually—you're learning to be sober together.
Each partner receives separate, personalized medical detox based on their specific substance use. You'll be in the same facility but have your own medical team monitoring your withdrawal and providing comfort medications. Detox timelines differ by substance—one partner might complete detox in 5 days while the other needs 10 days. This individualized approach ensures safety and comfort for both.
What Happens in This Phase:
Each partner has their own individual therapist and attends separate therapy sessions 3-4 times per week. This is critical because even though you're recovering together, each person has unique trauma, mental health issues, and personal work to do. Your individual therapist helps you process your own experiences and develop personal recovery skills independent of your partner.
Individual Therapy Addresses:
Joint therapy sessions with a couples therapist focus specifically on your relationship dynamics, communication patterns, and how addiction affected your partnership. This isn't about blaming—it's about understanding how you can support each other's recovery and build a healthier relationship moving forward.
Couples Therapy Topics:
Both partners attend daily group therapy sessions (sometimes together, sometimes separately). Group therapy provides peer support, reduces isolation, and allows you to learn from others in recovery. You'll participate in process groups, skills training, relapse prevention, and educational sessions alongside other clients.
Group Therapy Benefits:
When one or both partners are addicted, unhealthy codependency often develops. You might enable each other's use, make excuses, cover up consequences, or feel responsible for your partner's sobriety. This keeps both of you stuck.
We Teach:
How to support without enabling, set healthy boundaries, develop individual identity, and create mutual accountability without codependency.
Addiction erodes communication. Arguments escalate quickly, important topics get avoided, feelings stay unspoken, and resentment builds. Substances often served as a way to avoid difficult conversations.
We Teach:
Active listening, expressing feelings without blame, conflict resolution skills, and having difficult conversations productively while sober.
Addiction involves lying, hiding use, broken promises, and betrayal. Trust has been damaged or completely destroyed. Rebuilding trust takes time and consistent action from both partners.
We Teach:
How to rebuild trust through honesty and consistency, make amends for past harm, forgive while protecting yourself, and create transparency moving forward.
When both partners used together, you've created countless shared triggers—certain times of day, activities, locations, emotions, or even each other's presence can trigger cravings simultaneously.
We Teach:
Identify shared triggers, create new sober rituals and activities, support each other through cravings, and build a sober lifestyle together.
We offer flexibility based on what's best for your recovery and relationship. Some couples benefit from shared accommodations while others need space during treatment.
Private room for both partners in our couples wing. Stay together during non-therapy hours, maintain your bond, and provide mutual support.
Best for: Couples with strong relationships who want maximum connection during recovery.
Separate rooms in different wings. See each other during meals, activities, and couples therapy, but have personal space during non-structured time.
Best for: Couples who need space to work on individual issues or relationships with high conflict.
Your clinical team will help you decide what's best. This isn't a permanent decision—you can change arrangements if needed during treatment based on therapeutic progress.
Our Las Vegas couples detox and rehab program provides individualized medical detox, separate individual therapy, joint couples counseling, and comprehensive addiction treatment. Build a sober life together with professional support every step of the way.
